The Weavers' Market Haslach has been bringing international textile artists, hand weavers and designers to the historic streets of Haslach for over 30 years. Experience high-quality textile products, inspiring discussions and a unique atmosphere.
The Faserzone complements the weaving market as a trade fair for yarns, materials and accessories and starts on Friday evening.
The famous Weavers' Market always takes place on the last weekend in July in Haslach an der Mühl. The Mühlviertel region, located in northern Upper Austria on the border with Bavaria and Bohemia, has always been a linen weaving region, with Haslach as the centre of the local textile trade. The Textile Kultur Haslach Association continues this tradition, organising an international weavers' market, textile courses and exhibitions since 1991.
The market takes place in the oldest part of Haslach, in the winding alleys ‘auf der Stelzn’ and around the old ‘Vonwiller’ textile factory, which now houses the Haslach Textile Centre. It primarily offers hand weavers, textile artists and local weaving companies an opportunity to sell their high-quality products and showcase their unique quality to an expert audience. Each year, a jury of experts selects around 100 exhibitors from numerous applications. ART AUSTRIA has awarded the Haslach Weavers' Market its seal of quality and has ranked it number one among Austrian arts and crafts markets for years.
Parallel to the Weavers' Warket, there is always the Faserzone, where yarns, small textile tools and materials are sold.
