The MUSICAL FRÜHLING IN GMUNDEN celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025 and so a special musical is also on the programme in this special year.
SAVING MOZART was written by London composer Charli Eglinton and will celebrate its world premiere in Gmunden on 11 April. German by Elisabeth Sikora.
The musical sheds light on the two women behind Wolfgang Amadeus, his sister Nannerl and his wife Constanze, who both always supported him and without whom the Mozart miracle might not have happened. Look forward to a rousing evening, the pulsating music of Charli Eglinton and a piece of Austrian history in a gripping, contemporary production.

We recommend travelling by public transport!
By train: via Attnang-Puchheim station to Gmunden station, with the TraunseeTram (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl to the Gmunden Rathausplatz stop or Franz-Josef-Platz stop, also coming from Vorchdorf Eggenberg. Both stops are approx. 3 minutes away from the Gmunden Municipal Theatre.
Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim railway station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee
by bus: OÖVV bus lines 507, 505 or 533 as well as city bus lines from Gmunden, stop Gmunden Rathausplatz
by car: Western motorway A1: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A1 - exit A1 Laakirchen West - via Laakirchen to Gmunden Western motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - exit A1 Regau - to Gmunden

In the event of cancellation without replacement or if you are unable to attend on the alternative date, we will offer you a voucher that can be redeemed at one of the upcoming Musical Spring events.
