Arrrgghh Pirates, we're boarding the tobacco factory!

The history of the Pirate Ball is a long one. Originally held as a noble "black and white" ball, it really took off as a masked ball from 1956.

One of the highlights of the evening is always the award ceremony for the fantastic masks and costumes of our guests, who find a wonderful stage at the Pirate Ball to present their creations in front of over 1700 guests and running TV cameras and celebrate in an exuberant, cheerful and shrill carnival party.

The winners in the categories - "Weirdest individual costume", "Most creative group", "Largest masked group" - win great prizes every year.
