What motivates young media artists today and how do they communicate their issues to the public?

The Department of Time-based and Interactive Media Art at the University of Art and Design Linz leaves it up to the students to decide on the content of their focus, with their very individual personal experiences, lifeworlds and working methods. The works that are created here in the field of tension between cinematic, narrative, documentary and performative formats and the constantly evolving tools and digital media are just as diverse.

In this unusual exhibition, we show that alongside all the electronic and digital media, classic formats such as photography, graphics, sculpture and painting also play an equally important role in artistic exploration.
