Founded in 1982, Agnostic Front are among the most respected pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band even comes close to them in terms of musical and social authenticity. The struggle for survival on the streets has undeniably shaped their sound, which has lost none of its impact even after more than four decades. Ultimately, it was their socially critical anthems that laid the foundations for true New York hardcore and were crucial to the rise of crossover thrash. After a brief break-up at the beginning of the 90s, the band returned in 1998 with "Something's Gotta Give", an insane album that marked the start of a new era dominated by endless touring and powerful albums. Led by the inimitable vocals of Roger Miret and the charismatic, razor-sharp guitar work of Vinnie Stigma, Agnostic Front have since released several hard-hitting records, culminating in their 2019 album "Get Loud!".
In 2025, Agnostic Front signed a contract with the up-and-coming metal label Reigning Phoenix Music. "We're delighted to be officially part of the RPM family and to be working with both new and familiar faces," says Miret.
November 2025 saw the release of "Echoes In Eternity", a furious 15-song hurricane in which hardcore punk meets hard-earned wisdom. In addition to politically influenced tracks such as "Way Of War" or the unifying pith anthem "Turn Up The Volume", the album also contains a surprise with "Matter Of Life & Death": an explosive crossover track with the legendary hip-hopper Darryl "DMC" McDaniels. In terms of content, the band once again doesn't mince its words on its new album.
Unyielding in terms of sound, spirit and the need to communicate, as well as defying all line-up changes, changes in the industry and a constantly changing world, Agnostic Front have always stood their ground over the years - and "Echoes In Eternity" impressively confirms that even after over 40 years, they are by no means faltering.
