Paradise Bird. Songwriter/Comedian.
"You Are Beautiful" and "Dieter—The Period Diary" are viral hits with cult status; the audience has long been singing along. Miss Allie wrote them, and they illustrate quite well how this stage works: What society considers unspeakable becomes a song lyric in her hands—without a moralizing tone, but also without beating around the bush.
Alongside these is her other repertoire: timeless singer-songwriter ballads like “Gelernt ham’ wir nicht viel,” playful pop songs like “Immer wieder fallen,” and in between, musical stand-up routines where the punchline is more important than the chorus. The songs rarely stand alone; they’re woven into anecdotes and personal stories, and when a shout-out comes from the audience, the response is faster than the next chord. Anyone expecting an evening with a setlist and a predetermined order of applause is in the wrong venue.
Her peers noticed this early on. She’s shared the stage with Carolin Kebekus several times, Olli Schulz recommended her latest album on his podcast with Jan Böhmermann, and she’s even performed at an ARTE Concert. Given her talent, it’s no surprise that she regularly appears on comedy shows.
What sets this evening apart from an ordinary song concert is the direction it can take. A song about a taboo has the audience laughing one moment and silent the next—without any explanation in between. After three albums and increasingly larger tours, she’s currently working on her fourth, and the “Paradiesvogel” tour is taking her through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
