Advent Magic in the Imperial Stables

On Saturday, November 28, 2026, the time has finally come: The stables of the Kaiservilla will open their historic gates for the first time—with free admission—for an exquisitely curated “Advent Magic” event curated by Christine Habsburg-Lothringen and Johanna Sarnthein. Around 20 exhibitors from all over Austria, Bavaria, and especially the local Salzkammergut region will delight visitors for two days with their tasteful treasures and fill them with Christmas cheer.

Carefully Curated Handicrafts

Among the participants are businesses such as Bellas Vienna and Consches. The participating exhibitors will offer visitors to the first AdventZauber an atmospheric assortment of Christmas gifts. Fashion, jewelry, and exclusive nightwear will be featured, as well as products from the worlds of fragrance, home decor, and culinary delights. The two organizers personally ensure a carefully selected “Best Of” lineup of exhibitors: “When making our selection, we placed particular emphasis on the authenticity of the craftsmanship and the high quality of the products. You can tell when things are made by hand rather than just manufactured—you’ll enjoy them for much longer. They tell a story; giving them as gifts comes from the heart and is something special.”

The Stables: The Atmospheric Essence of the Salzkammergut

Where Empress Sisi’s horses once rested after riding excursions, people now love to celebrate. With around 20 events per year, the stables of the Kaiservilla have established themselves as one of the most popular event and exhibition venues in the Salzkammergut. Their picturesque location at the foot of the Jainzen, with a view of the historic Imperial Villa, the sprawling park with its old trees, and Bad Ischl’s local mountain, creates a unique ensemble. And it is precisely this special atmosphere that will also be felt at the AdventZauber: “A variety of culinary highlights, alongside the shopping and creative experiences, invite you to linger. This way, you can kick off Advent in a festive atmosphere, by the light of the fire pits and with a view of the historic Kaiservilla!” The AdventZauber is set to become an annual tradition.

The ensemble WEANA GSPIA (Julia Wiszniewski, Marko Cucek, and Djordje Davidovic) will provide the musical magic of Advent—look forward to a delightful mix of well-known Austrian Christmas carols and popular Christmas melodies from around the world, atmospherically performed by the trio.
