In his new programme, Michael Scheruga tackles the most important questions of our time: How left-wing are the right-wingers, how right-wing are the Greens, and why on earth do we have to pay beer tax?! Beer is already far too expensive in restaurants and pubs! The enthusiastic beer lover and beer sommelier has close ties to the local pub scene and wants to send a vehement message to politicians:

• Don't play with our thirst!
• Beer is the last bastion!
• The beer of the little man is sacrosanct!

The VAT on beer must be halved immediately and this unspeakable beer tax abolished without replacement! Charity events for endangered beer types, for example, or even the simple demand for ‘school beer instead of school milk’ would be urgently needed to counteract the advance and triumph of international abstinence.

By train:
From Wels train station, take the Almtalbahn (line 153) towards Grünau im Almtal to the Pettenbach or Steinbach-Brücke stop. Numerous connections from Wels train station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or to Passau (Germany).
Continue on foot or with the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service.

By bike: Almtal Cycle Path R11 from Wels into the Almtal Valley to Almsee. The cycle path leads through Pettenbach. A turnoff towards the center is possible. Traunviertel Tour - Stage 2 from Schlierbach to Gmunden - the cycle route also leads through Pettenbach towards Scharnstein

By car:
Motorway A1 from Vienna/Linz to Voralpenkreuz, continue on the A9 towards Graz or from Graz, exit at Ried im Traunkreis - towards Voitsdorf - Pettenbach, approx. 10 km
From the Salzkammergut, take the B 145 to Gmunden, continue on the B 120 via Scharntein to Pettenbach, turn left after the Turmöl petrol station to Ranklleiten Parking:
