Gentle, undulating movement for the spine. The spine contains the spinal cord, protects it and connects all parts of the body. The spine also has to support the pelvic girdle, shoulder girdle and head, while keeping the whole person upright as best it can. In everyday life, we often "work" against this; we often linger carelessly in rigid postures and give in to short-sighted movement sequences. Individual sections of the spine remain motionless for too long until muscles, ligaments, fasciae etc. start to ache. In the course, we practise organic body movements with waves, circles and spirals that gently expand and contract our body - with the help of the breath - in continuous repetition; a process that we call "life". - Well practiced, these mindful movement sequences can be integrated into everyday life.
