Her first novel Gruber geht (2011) was nominated for the German Book Prize and was made into a movie. Her most recent publications are Die Nachricht (2021) and Eine vollständige Liste aller Dinge, die ich vergessen habe (2023). Doris Knecht lives in Vienna and the Waldviertel.
