St. Gilgen is home to the legendary Mozarthaus - a location that must not be left unused during the Woodstock Academy week. This is why there will not only be courses during the day, but also an evening concert. On Tuesday, the band MoZuluArt will create a multinational soundscape between classical and traditional music. They will be joined by the four clarinet teachers: Matthias Schorn, Stefan Prommegger, Michael Gruber and Frederic Alvarado-Dupuy. Come and have a look!
MoZuluArt
MoZuluArt was invented by Roland Guggenbichler (Austria) and Vusa Mkhaya Ndlovu, Blessings Nqo Nkomo and Ramadu (all: Zimbabwe) and is a fusion of traditional Zulu sounds with classical music, especially Mozart compositions - hence the name MoZuluArt. "We try to combine these two musical styles in such a way that the original melodies and rhythms are preserved as far as possible and thus remain authentic," says Guggenbichler about the sound of the band, which spans two continents.
A bit like the Woodstock Academy. Music that connects everyone - no matter where they come from, no matter what instrument or musical style they play and no matter what their background. A wonderful combination, we think!
