GRIEFYARDS: Opening Reception & Storytelling Performance

An art and writing initiative that creates space for grief, love, and remembrance. Featuring storytelling, performance, and music.

GRIE-F-YARDS is an international art and writing project, initiated by Celine Vanhoutte and Rosa Braber, that creates a space for grief, love, and remembrance. As part of the exhibition “Death Positive. People Will Always Die,” mailboxes throughout the city of Linz invite people to write anonymous letters to deceased loved ones. A selection of these letters will be transformed into works of art by artists and presented as part of a opening reception at the Nordico, featuring storytelling performances —poetic, accessible, and moving. The artworks will be on display and available for purchase until the end of the “Death Positive” exhibition (Oct. 23, 2026–Apr. 4, 2027).
