Hermann Holzner: Pop-Art

With 30 Pop Art exhibits, Hermann Holzer brings art closer to people in two senses: spatially and stylistically as a resonance to our zeitgeist.

Pop art stands for popular art and reached its peak in the 1960s in the USA. Its themes: Materialism, media and the cult of celebrity, and its inspirations were therefore the mass market, advertising, comics and consumer products.

Holzner's works - in a more detailed style - are primarily based on Roy Lichtenstein, who also created 3D installations. Holzner's upcycling works, with which he thematizes consumption and new use, also follow this direction.
