Gisela steamboat experience - Ebensee to Gmunden

The "Gisela" is one of the oldest steamships in the world, built in 1871, and has an oscillating compound steam engine. You can watch the engine and engine drivers from the deck. It is also one of the most beautiful ships to glide along the water with its two paddle wheels.

From 1st July to 31th August 2026, guests can board every Sunday at 10:15 am (arrival 10:10 am) at the Ebensee landing stage and use this elegant means of transport to travel to Gmunden's Rathausplatz. Disembark in the district capital and take the next scheduled boat to Ebensee at 11.30 a.m. or one of the following boats (depending on how long you wish to stay, see timetable www.traunseeschifffahrt.at )

Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead and muzzled.

Arrival Information: If vehicles are parked in Trauneck or around the municipal office, please note the parking fees!
