Shakespeare´s Dream

After the great success of Sleeping Beauty , Andrey Kaydanovskiy returns to TANZ LINZ with a new creation. In this new work, the internationally renowned choreographer devotes himself to William Shakespeare - not only as an author, but also as a multi-layered artistic figure. While Shakespeare's works and texts are in many cases well documented and comprehensible, the origin of his inspiration remains a mysterious and fascinating enigma.

Kaydanovskiy, known for his narrative flair, takes the murders in Shakespeare's works as his starting point. With humor and irony, he creates a dance piece that balances between reality and fiction and illuminates human passions. It questions the relationship between artist and art as well as people's willingness to believe stories.

This work invites us to question the boundaries of perception and embark on a journey through time, art and identity - full of intensity, surprise and depth.
