Otmar Wallenta is trying to save old manuscripts and photos from being destroyed in his project Spurensicherung. He hands over historically valuable documents to the provincial archives and museums for historical research. He uses manuscripts that are rather unimportant or only fragmentary in terms of content - as an advertisement for his project - for processing with graphics and painting, whereby he tries, where possible, to create a link between the content of the text and the artistic work. His "Antiqua Bilder" are all on original manuscripts with unaltered seals and stamps and never copies.
