Guided tours & workshop on industrial history in Vorchdorf

On 11 July 2025, experience the fascinating world of craftsmanship with the whole family at the Vorchdorf Regional Museum!

Our family-friendly guided tours, which are offered every two hours, take you on an exciting journey through the world of craftsmanship.

We will explore the following exciting questions, among others:

How did watchmakers manage to make a clock show the time perfectly?

What tools did carpenters use?

And what exactly is a leatherworker and what did they do?

Together, we will immerse ourselves in the world of leather production and the region's recent industrial history, discover the craft of clock and pipe making, and travel back to the prehistory and early history of the Vorchdorf region. You will learn how these professions have changed over the centuries.

A highlight at the end is a workshop that perfectly rounds off the holiday fun at the Vorchdorf Regional Museum. In the hands-on workshop, visitors of all ages have the opportunity to get creative and make their own model vehicle.
