Reinhold Rebhandl – On Painting!

In his exhibition at Galerie Maerz, Rebhandl places large-format works from recent months in context with a selection of objects and smaller pictures from the past two decades. A carpet that has been in the studio for three years and on which traces of the paintings and objects created can be seen is part of the spatial staging. It corresponds with the densely presented paintings, whose conceptual harmony is contrasted by individual works that refer to other groups of works.
