Being: 12 queer people - 12 touching stories - 12 unique portraits

The project SEIN breaks through social expectations of outing and portrays twelve queer people in their natural authenticity - simply as they are, without having to explain themselves.

Using a 160-year-old wooden camera, monochrome photographs were taken on fragile glass plates in the colors of the rainbow. Each person was portrayed three times: as a head portrait, a body portrait and in their complete BEING. The exhibition deliberately presents these works separately in three groups of twelve pictures each. Only together do they shine as a large rainbow and challenge the viewer to examine identity and the question "Which body belongs to which head?".
