Gustav Klimt was a close friend and in-law of the Flöge family. His stays at Lake Attersee are therefore inevitably linked to Villa Paulick in Seewalchen am Attersee. Here he and Emilie Flöge enjoyed the lake landscape. The villa itself is one of the unique architectural jewels on Lake Attersee, which helped shape the diverse architecture of the summer resort.
