Games festival - rediscover old games

A party for the whole family!

The Upper Austria Family Card cordially invites you to a special day full of fun, activity, and shared experiences amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery of Hinterstoder.
At the big games festival on August 29 at the Höss, classic children’s games will be brought back to life.

At several game stations, you can rediscover classic games such as “Blind Man’s Buff,” “Ox on the Mountain,” “Leapfrog,” and many more.
All the games are taken from the book “Old Games – Rediscovered,” which every family will receive for free on-site—perfect for playing at home.
A small surprise gift also awaits the children—making the day even more special.
In addition to the games program, there’s also time for short walks or family hikes. The on-site food and beverage stands will be open.

Discounted family rate for the mountain railway:

Hinterstoder Valley Station, 5a, 4573 Hinterstoder. From there, take the Hinterstoder mountain railways to the Games Festival on the Höss at the discounted family rate.

Special rate for an all-inclusive day pass

Day pass for the round trip with the Hössbahn and the Höss-Express chairlift in Hinterstoder
