At a time when anti-Semitic and exclusionary tendencies are on the rise again, Barzilais and Strauss' works stand for the power of art to build bridges: between religious roots and social commitment, between remembrance and the present, between Tel Aviv and Central Europe.

This exhibition asks how we live today, how we can remember and take responsibility. And it does so not with a raised index finger, but through the encounter of two artistic styles that, despite their differences, pursue a common goal: To create connection.
