Edwyn Collins landed a worldwide hit with "A Girl Like You" in 1995. Ten years later, the shock: the Scottish musician suffered two strokes within a few days! With an incredible effort of will, he fought his way back to life. Edwyn Collins never thought of giving up and has been releasing albums regularly ever since.

The latest, 10th masterpiece by Edwyn Collins entitled "Nation Shall Speak Unto Nation" has just been released. The 11-track album is released on his own label AED Records. It was produced by Edwyn at Clashnarrow Studio in Helmsdale, North East Scotland, alongside Sean Read and Jake Hutton, and recorded with James Walbourne (g), William Collins (b), Carwyn Ellis (g) and Lena Wright and Bianca White on backing vocals.

"Knowledge", the first track on the album, is accompanied by a video shot between Christmas and New Year in Edwyn's home village of Helmsdale. Speaking about the song, Edwyn said: "Knowledge is something I think about. I used to be pretty smart and I still am in some ways. But knowledge is wisdom combined with all the things you've learned. I think I hope I've learned a lot."

At the end of January 2026, Edwyn Collins will present the album live in Vienna, Linz and Dornbirn on his farewell tour "A Last Lap Around Europe". Of course, all his hits like "A Girl Like You" will not be missing.
