In the year 1298, the Church of St. Margarethen am Anger in the market town of Hall was mentioned for the first time.
The church, often referred to as the "Church under the seven linden trees," had existed for longer. Around 1280, St. Margarethen am Anger became the place for court proceedings and the mayoral election. Due to its significance for civic life, the Margarethen Chapel became a landmark for the coat of arms granted to the town of Hall. You can visit the chapel at any time without prior appointment.
