Hungarian Rock: Organ meets screen in Bad Ischl
In the middle of the magnificent parish church in Bad Ischl, a special kind of festival kick-off unfolds: the exceptional Hungarian organist Balázs Szabó - professor at the Vienna University of Music and one of the leading virtuosos of his generation - brings organ works by Liszt, Ligeti and Reger to life - virtuosic, emotional and visually impressive.
His program "Hungarian Rock" combines romantic soundscapes with modern energy and pays homage to Szabó's roots and the great Hungarian organ tradition. A frenzy of sound unfolds on the famous Kaiser jubilee organ, combining past and present.
The performance will be broadcast live on a large screen so that you can not only hear but also see how this magic is created. A musical experience for cultural travelers and day-trippers alike - ideal for rediscovering Bad Ischl: with the sound of the organ, church gold and imperial flair.
