Jonas Büßecker: Body. A dissolution of boundaries

With body. Eine Entgrenzung, Jonas Büßecker's exhibition presents sculptural works that question the human body.

Based on familiar body shapes, new, irritating silhouettes are created through molding, material changes and fragmentation. Concrete, metal and textiles lend the sculptures a physical presence between surface, traction and resistance. The works move on the border between artistic exploration and personal physical experience and make it possible to experience how social ideals shape bodies. The exhibition invites us to rethink our view of the body - as an open, contradictory and lively space.
