47. Senior citizensball of the city of Linz 2026
Experience an unforgettable afternoon of dancing, music and conviviality in one of the most beautiful venues on the Danube.
On Thursday, 15 January 2026, the traditional Senior*innen-Maskenball will once again take place at the Brucknerhaus Linz, jointly organized by LIVA and the City of Linz.
Admission is free, but access is only possible with a valid ball ticket.
Ball tickets are available free of charge at the Brucknerhaus Service Center and at the Tourist Information Office on Linz's main square.
Admission to the Brucknerhaus is at 1 pm.
All visitors can look forward to free Frankfurter sausages. There is a photo box in the foyer in front of the Middle Hall, which is available to guests for the entire duration of the ball.
Presenters Katrin Wachauer and Walter Witzany will host the program.
During the ball, the pt art orchestra in the Great Hall and KA2 Kathrin + Karl in the Middle Foyer will keep things lively and entertaining.
Other highlights of the senior ball include
- Opening of the ball by the Musical Theatre Academy of the LMS Puchenau
- Entry of the masks, which are judged by a jury
- Raffle, in which every ticket participates
- Entry of the Ebelsberg carnival guild with prince and princess
- Awarding of the masks and presentation of the carnival medal
The ball ends at 7 pm.
