Iva Schell and the Austrian Salonists will take you into the world of UFA films featuring the great film divas of the 50s and 60s to celebrate the New Year. Immerse yourself in unforgettable melodies, enjoy the humorous and personal anecdotes and authentic stories, and reminisce about a dazzling time of film music with great actresses like Romy Schneider, Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, or Maria Schell. An evening full of glamour and nostalgia.

Iva Schell
Iva Schell was born in Ulm and studied singing at the music universities in Dresden and with Prof. Edith Wiens in Augsburg. She continues to receive training from Dr. Hubert Noe.
At the age of 22, she became a member of the ensemble at the Theater Ulm for 6 seasons and joined the ensemble of the Oper Leipzig/Musical Comedy in 2009, of which she was a guest until 2017. She was soloist at the Mörbisch Lake Festival in 2007 and 2011 and often guest at the Lehar Festival Bad Ischl, as well as at the Richard Wagner Festival Wels and the Castle Festival Langenlois.
She has performed at the Gärtnerplatz Theater Munich, the State Theater Wiesbaden, Theater Augsburg, and theaters in St. Gallen and Lucerne.
Numerous concert tours have taken her abroad, as well as to Japan (as "Adele" in "Die Fledermaus"), and since 2014, she has annually toured the USA and Canada with the New Year's concerts "Salute to Vienna"!
In 2016, she was one of three soprano soloists on the European tour of star violinist Andre Rieu!
In 2019 and 2023, she returned as "Ottilie" in "Im weissen Rössl" to the State Theater at the Gärtnerplatz Munich, a role she also portrayed in 2022 at the Kulturglashaus Völkermarkt, following her successful debut there as "Hanna Glawari" in "Die lustige Witwe" in 2021.
In spring 2022, she was heard as "Irene Molloy" at the City Theater Baden in "Hello Dolly," and in 2023 as "Fräulein von Kost" in "Cabaret".
Iva Schell is also active in music education in Carinthia, uniquely combining early childhood music education with horses, sheep, and other animals. At her property "Schell's Ark Noe" in the Lavant Valley, she holds concerts and readings in memory of her late husband, Oscar-winning actor Maximilian Schell.
At the beginning of 2025, she will be on concert tour as a soloist with the Festival Sinfonietta Linz in Austria and will first be heard as a soloist at the Taggenbrunn Festival.
Numerous song evenings, readings, and performances in oratorios and masses round off her singing activities.
