Günter Berger: Reflections

The exhibited works encompass three themes and yet they have an overlap.

The idea of reflecting on ageing arose a few years ago. The exhibited works show his parents and the challenges of everyday life. Even when everyday life becomes more difficult, there are always moments that bring joy and happiness.

The second theme is related, showing landscapes that slowly change and move. It reflects "autumn" as a stage of life. Autumn, winter as a time of rest. The Waldviertel as a new place of residence is a stage and counterpoint to the big city and travelling.

The third theme shows the random and multi-layered life in the city. It offers the opportunity to constantly rediscover and rediscover. Seemingly surreal motifs are an interplay of reality and reflections (mirroring) and not montages or multiple exposures.
