Enjoy the Thursdays in summer in Vorchdorf, the door to the Salzkammergut area!

Summer concerts on Thursdays, 7:30 pm in fine weather!

With a varied program, the cultural committee together with the tourism association once again invites you to the Vorchdorf Summer of Music 2026. Traditional brass music meets jazz, modern brass sounds and folk music. Ten times between the beginning of July and the beginning of September, the pavilion in the guest garden of Schloss Hochhaus will be the venue for various musical styles. Each concert starts at 7:30 pm on summer Thursdays, weather permitting, admission is free.

Under the motto "Watch, listen to music, eat ice cream or enjoy a cosy summer evening", the summer concerts are an accent for the revitalization of the town centre, organized and supported by the Vorchdorf local tourism group of Salzkammergut Tourismus Marketing GmbH.

How to get to Vorchdorf in the Almtal in the beautiful Salzkammergut:

We recommend traveling by public transport!

By train: via Wels station to Lambach station, with the Vorchdorferbahn (line 160) or from Gmunden with the Traunsee Tram (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl Bahnen to Vorchdorf Eggenberg.
Numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.
Pay attention to the departure times!

Bus-train information

with the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 70 from e.g. Scharnstein via Pettenbach to Vorchdorf station or on Route 80 from Almspitz, call the cab center at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 or order online via the booking platform .

Bike & Hike, arrival by bike:
Coming from Wels or Linz on the R 4 Traunradweg or R6 Römerradweg, or from Gmunden R 4 Traunradweg or from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt on the R 6 Römerradweg to Lambach, via the Traunkraftwerk Lambach and then via Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting to Vorchdorf.
Likewise via the cycle connection from the R 11 Almtalradweg from Almsee via Pettenbach, briefly onto the R 13 Traunviertlerradweg to Einsiedlung and then to Vorchdorf.
From Gmunden via Gschwandt to Kirchham, from Laakirchen on the R 13 Traunviertlerradweg to Kirchham, then along the Traunsee Tram in the direction of Vorchdorf.

Innkreisautobahn A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A1 - Exit A1 Vorchdorf
From Bad Ischl on the B145 to Gmunden, continue on the main road to Vorchdorf.
Coming from Pettenbach or Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, take the main road to Vorchdorf.

Parking in the town center
Schwarzelmüller parking lot just over the bridge or at the vicarage (all within walking distance).
