CHILDREN'S OPERA WORKSHOP 2026
"A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE"
SATURDAY AUGUST 1 TO SATURDAY AUGUST 8, 2026
A picture frame is beautiful to look at. Whether it contains a great painting or a nice souvenir photo. Or a visit to a museum, where the golden, intricately carved picture frames themselves become a work of art.
But what if there is a picture frame that you can see through? What could you see in it?
A story of the future, of dreams and hopes and of going your own way.
By Matthias Starzinger
COURSE CONTENT & PROCEDURE
The Attegauer Kinderopernwerkstatt project shows new ways in the sense of a holistic musical
promotion. Excellently trained instructors in the field of children's music theater strive to implement their
experience together with the children. We are particularly pleased that Matthias Starzinger, a former long-time participant in the children's opera workshop from the Attergau/Attersee region, has been writing the stories and
the stories and the script for the children for a few years now.
Teaching team 2026:
Organization and music: Sophie Bartolomey,
qualified piano teacher, additional training in elementary music education, classroom music-making and rhythmics, founded the successful Attergau Children's Opera Workshop 14 years ago.
Director: Simon Scharinger,
qualified actor and director, part of the team of the successful series of the Vienna Musikverein "Sebastian und das Tontelefon", musical component of the a cappella boy group vocal band "Hermann".
Dance/choreography: Timna Krenn,
qualified actress and theater maker. In her artistic work, she pursues a multidisciplinary approach with a focus on movement, text work and acting.
During this week, children from the age of 8 work together with the teachers to create a musical theater. The framework of the story is predetermined, but there is plenty of scope for the children's ideas.
Under the guidance of dedicated music teachers and actors, the children sing and make music together
music, rehearse scenes and learn stage tricks. The goal is the final performance
at the end of the week.
