The Kranichsteg is a popular meeting place, especially on Thursdays. As part of the Kesselheißen, a traditional Thursday event in Upper Austrian butcher's shops, fresh sausages such as Frankfurter, Knacker, Debreziner, Käsekrainer, Scharfe, Weißwurst or Braunschweiger are served with a draught beer in our cosy guest rooms.
During the warm season, our guest garden is also open on fine weather days.
Our Thursday specials include the obligatory sausages as well as blood sausage gröstl, bosna, goulash and dishes of the day. Of course, we also cater for vegetarians on Thursdays. In the Kranichsteg you can enjoy draught beer and Hopfenkönig from the Schloss Eggenberg brewery.
