Winter Jazz Nites 2027

Winter Jazznites is the winter edition of the JazzNites festival series organized by the Institute for Jazz and Improvised Music (JIM) at Bruckneruni. Over the course of several evenings, the series showcases what’s driving the young jazz scene today.

Students at the institute perform with their own bands or make music together with faculty members and friends of the institute. This brings to life what makes JIM special: independent artistic personalities with distinctive voices. And an international community where generations, cultures, styles, and experiences come together.
The spectrum ranges from solo performances to intermedia large ensembles. Composed music meets free improvisation—the jazz tradition meets experimentation. Everything finds its place here.
The Winter Jazznites are a place for connection and experimentation. They invite you to experience music in the very moment it is created and to get to know the voices that will shape the jazz of tomorrow.
