8th Hallstättersee Ice Swimming and Austrian Championships

This year's ice swimming on Lake Hallstatt 2025 with the Austrian Championships will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Untersee lido;

Venue of the Austrian Championships and IISA World Cup for the first time

This is the eighth time in a row that the Hallstättersee Ice Swimming Championships have taken place in the region and will be held on the northern shore of Lake Hallstatt in the Untersee bay in the municipality of Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt.

Swimming takes place in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Hallstatt in four 25-meter lanes.

The heated boathouse of the water rescue service and temperature-controlled changing rooms are available for the competitions, as well as two sauna barrels and a hot tub for warming up.
