In the year 2026, software engineer Dr. Coppelius creates a highly developed AI doll - a being that combines human perfection and absolute obedience. After countless experiments and several prototypes, he finally achieves a breakthrough: the Coppélia doll.
She looks flawless, moves with impressive precision and appears to react emotionally. She fulfills expectations without resistance - and through continuous development becomes more and more what her creator had dreamed of. For Dr. Coppelius, she is the perfect being.
But when a boy falls in love with Coppélia and other children begin to accept her as a friend, the boundaries between human and machine become blurred. Questions arise that go far beyond mere technology:
Can something that doesn't decide for itself really love and feel?
Can something that doesn't decide for itself really love and feel?
Is it possible to love something that is not really human?
And when - and why - am I "real" at all?
