Indieverse

20.11.2026 / 20:00
Linz, Stadtwerkstatt
Musikveranstaltung, Konzert

Alternative, indie pop, and indie rock concert.

Various artists will perform, offering a diverse musical program in the "indie" genre.

This year’s lineup includes Color The Night, AF90, and Ivery.

Color The Night
Pop, rock, funk, and indie. Throw all that into a big pot, give it a good stir, and out comes a band that breaks down genre boundaries and pursues a common goal: dancing your heart out. With disco beats, snotty guitars, and funky riffs, the Linz-based sextet Color The Night sets out to fulfill exactly this mission. Sophisticated arrangements and musical finesse strike the difficult balance between danceability and sophisticated music without slipping into clichés. Their youthful exuberance helps them paint a colorful musical masterpiece that’s bursting with energy.

With their new frontperson, Raphael, the band has signaled not only a musical reorientation since 2022 but also a thematic shift. As a queer person, Raphael brings fresh perspectives and shares personal experiences that haven’t always been easy. The lyrics are authentic, full of emotion, and carry a special message—“Queer Rage.” Nevertheless, Color the Night is by no means turning its back on its musical roots; instead, their music invites listeners to celebrate with abandon.

But what’s there to celebrate? Color the Night celebrates the individual! Being who you are, sounding like you are, moving and dancing the way you feel—without letting anything hold you back—is the big message the band wants to share with the world. Independent of others, they stir the paint pot, experiment with sounds, and blaze new trails to create their own unique color. Their music is meant not only to entertain but also to help open the eyes and hearts of their listeners.

AF90
Andreas Födinger, aka AF90, has long been a fixture on Austria’s pop scene. As a founding member of Bilderbuch and part of Farewell Dear Ghost, he has already racked up numerous awards and achievements. Since 2022, he’s been forging his own path—and doing so with tremendous success.

FM4 charts, Soundportal charts, airplay in Germany, the UK, and the US, a nomination for the XA Export Award, support tours with Parov Stelar and Shout Out Louds—the list goes on. AF90’s vision of pop is bold, rousing, and completely unique. Just like his live band, which transforms into a six-piece powerhouse (three women, three men) and sweeps over the audience like a tidal wave.

Following the stylish mini-album *Big Business* (2024), AF90 gets even wilder on “Drugs on the Weekend.” Groovy, irresistible, offbeat—but outrageously catchy. A track that brings back the raw energy the world is so sorely lacking.

Ivery
“Balance is broken—but I make it a pose.”—Ivery stands tall in her music and lyrics, even when the world around her is reeling, showing that you can stand confidently and maintain your composure even on shaky ground.

Viennese musician and producer Verena Koppendorfer, aka Ivery, combines catchy hooks with profound lyrics to create alternative pop songs that are instantly memorable and thought-provoking at the same time. Her music thrives on contrasts and deliberate breaks—sometimes raw, sometimes dreamy, sometimes provocative, always with a twinkle in her eye.

Sonically, the charm of ’70s pop à la Fleetwood Mac meets the synthetic sounds of the ’80s, driving beats, and fresh art-pop influences. Thematically, Ivery’s lyrics revolve around identity, change, transience, social issues, and mental health. Complex emotions blend with hope, humor, and a touch of chaos. At the Stadtwerkstatt, the artist will present her debut album, set for release in May 2026.
