Theme weekend: The principle of research

Knowledge is rarely absolute, but usually only fairly probable and research is everything - but not one-dimensional. It thrives on curiosity, the courage to admit mistakes and the ability to recognize the extraordinary in the unexpected.

This is precisely where its appeal lies for us. Art asks the right questions. Where there are still no answers. Thinks ahead where we can't get anywhere with facts alone.

Because we at the Ars Electronica Center combine artistic approaches with scientific theories, consciously breaking up disciplines and linking them together in new ways, we are always able to open up a completely new view of our world to our visitors. This themed weekend in April will be the next opportunity to do so.
