Musical calendar: Schubertiade at the Palais

Franz Schubert had a close connection to Upper Austria through his circle of friends and numerous longer stays in Steyr, Gmunden and Linz, among other places.

He enjoyed a close friendship with the poet Johann Mayrhofer for many years and the court opera singer Johann Michael Vogl from Steyr was also among Schubert's circle of friends and spent several longer stays with him in Upper Austria. In this Schubertiade, bass Robert Holzer and pianist Thomas Kerbl will focus on the works attributed to Schubert in Upper Austria. The two artists will also present outstanding young Schubert voices by Master's students.
