“Moments of Happiness”—they come unexpectedly, fleetingly, and often very quietly. A ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds at just the right moment. A smile that says, without words, “I love you.” That feeling when your favorite music touches your soul just right. The latter certainly applies to the new NOCKIS album, which will be released on June 13, 2025, and is therefore aptly titled “Moments of Happiness.”

The album delights with 13 wonderful NOCKIS songs that captivate from the first track to the last. Right off the bat, the first single, “Seit 1870,” is a truly special pop hit with acoustic elements. The chorus is instantly catchy and invites you to sing along. It combines a love story with childhood memories and contemporary history. “The old bakery’s been around since 1870. The school just around the corner’s been there since 1920. The church’s been there since ’44, and I came along in ’58. And I’ve loved you for just two weeks,” sings Friedl Würcher, his famously raspy voice oscillating between thoughtfulness and sweet emotion. The duet with Italian Italo-pop legend Pupo, “La Felicitá – So nah wie noch nie.” This emotionally charged love song is sung in both German and Italian. It blends Italian canzone and German pop with modern sounds. The voices of Friedl Würcher and Pupo complement each other perfectly, giving the song a unique touch. The song undoubtedly has great hit potential.

The album “Glücksmomente” is a remarkably versatile collection of brilliant pop songs, produced with great dedication. Every song impresses with its clarity and meticulous production, while the NOCKIS’ signature style shines through at every moment. There is no doubt that it is precisely their pursuit of perfection—whether in the music or in the lyrics, which are often inspired by everyday stories—that has shaped the band’s decades-long success story.
