Edgar Honetschläger: Give Nature a Break

The Nordico Stadtmuseum Linz is dedicating a comprehensive solo exhibition to the visual artist, filmmaker and environmental activist Edgar Honetschläger.

Born in Linz, he has been exploring the human/nature dichotomy through multimedia since the 1980s. Subtly critical and at the same time poetic and humorous, he uses surprising perspectives to question conventional views. For Honetschläger, it is not enough for art to deal with the current ecological crisis solely in aesthetic terms. As an artist, he sees it as his duty to take concrete action.
