Ski tour Hochkarfelderkopf

From Lungötz in the Lammertal (891m), the route first leads through the forest, over a few hilltops to steeper, open terrain. Continue over the ridge to the summit (2219m). The descent follows the ascent, with a variant option via the Passruckgraben. The total ascent is 1,473 m, approx. 4 hours and 10.6 km.

Requirements:
1,473 vertical meters of enjoyable ski tour with beautiful views and a physical challenge.

Equipment required:
- Rucksack
- Touring skis with touring bindings (adjusted to boot and body weight)
- Ski poles (possibly adjustable in length) - Ski touring boots
- (Tension) adhesive skins (suitable for the skis)
- Crampons
- Sufficient provisions and liquids
- Clothing suitable for the weather
- Sun protection if necessary
Emergency equipment:
- Avalanche transceiver (modern digital 2- or 3-antenna device, with sufficient batteries (at least 70 percent)
- Avalanche shovel
- Avalanche probe
