Gschwandtner Advent Market—Getting in the Spirit for the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
On Friday, November 27th, and Saturday, November 28th, 2026, the town of Gschwandt cordially invites you to its traditional Advent Market, held inside and outside the elementary school. On both days, the market opens its doors at 2:00 p.m. and offers a varied program for the whole family.

Visitors can look forward to a festive atmosphere and a wide variety of offerings: regional arts and crafts, lovingly crafted handmade items, and homemade delicacies such as cookies, jams, and much more invite you to marvel, sample, and linger. Brass bands will also provide musical Advent entertainment, while local clubs will offer culinary treats on the plaza in front of the elementary school.

A special supporting program is also on the agenda:

As early as Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., the youngest guests can look forward to a children’s storytime at the library, before the elementary school’s Advent concert brings the sounds of Advent to the village at 4:00 p.m. in the parish church. On Saturday at 4:00 p.m., there will be a contemplative Advent wreath blessing in the parish church, followed at 6:00 p.m. by St. Nicholas’ visit to the Advent market, delighting the children with his arrival.
