by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
240 years after its world premiere at the Theater an der Wien, "Le Nozze di Figaro" is coming to Bad Hall as the third opera in the Mozart cycle in cooperation with the International Mozart Academy of the Anton Bruckner Private University. Over 120 of the most beautiful young voices from 35 nations will gather for the Mozart Competition in Bad Hall in September 2025. Special prizes in the form of engagements for "Figaro" will also be awarded at the public finale (September 6, 6 p.m.). The two previous productions of "Magic Flute" and "Cosi fan tutte" were celebrated by audiences and the press.
In the Bad Hall "Figaro" version, the arias are sung in the original Italian, with accompanying recitatives and subtitles in German. The musical direction is in the proven hands of Matthias Achleitner, who, together with his OÖ. Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Mozart's masterpiece.
