Legends, stories and their historical background give you an insight into the myths and tales of our ancestors.

Dwarves, witches, giants and other mythical figures populate the legendary world of the Salzkammergut. The desire for gold and wealth preoccupied people just as much as many a natural phenomenon that was inexplicable at the time.

The weaknesses and strengths of mankind are depicted in legends and fairy tales.

The living conditions of the people of the Salzkammergut are also described.
