Botanical garden - an experience for the senses

The Botanical Garden brings nature experience in theory and practice. A modern seminar room offers space for lectures, presentations and exhibitions. Lectures or guided tours are held regularly as part of the garden practice. Experts are available to answer all questions from amateur gardeners. 

The Botanical Garden on the Gugl is one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. About 10,000 different plant species can be seen across 4.2 hectares.

In five greenhouses, exotic plants in particular display their splendor. The garden is a European leader with its unique conservation collection of cacti. The rare wild species and beautiful orchid cultivars are among the hallmarks of the Linz garden. Special shows and exhibitions throughout the year consistently offer unique experiences.

The Linz Botanical Garden brings together nature and culture. Sculptures by Austrian artists set amid the greenery, along with a diverse program of lectures, exhibitions, and events, make the garden a place where people and culture come together.

During the summer months, concerts and readings are featured on the open-air stage. With seating for 100 visitors, the stage offers an atmospheric setting for an outdoor cultural experience. Culinary delights are provided by Café Orchidee, which features outdoor seating with a view of the greenery.
