Throughout the year, a wide variety of clubs and organizations and their hard-working helpers shape social and cultural life, such as the Attersee music band, which delights locals and guests with pavilion concerts every summer.

On April 23, 1879, on the occasion of the celebrations for the silver wedding of the highest imperial couple in the Hotel zu Attersee, a “music band” was mentioned for the first time. Documentary evidence is thus provided that a music band had already existed in Attersee at that time. And that's where the story of our music club begins.

Johann Kieleithner is currently the band leader of the music association. His predecessors were Gerhard Lacher, Erwin Wendl, Andreas Schwarzenlander, Klaus Hubelnig and Karl Renner.

The Musikverein is growing steadily and both the youth brass band and the "old" music get more and more members who contribute to the community of the association and the musical performance.
