Elisa Andessner

The basis for Elisa Andessner's exhibition is her artist-in-residence stay in Mexico.

In her works, she deals with questions of identity, the body and social role models. By engaging with local contexts and cultural codes, she expands her photographic and performative practice to include new perspectives between proximity and foreignness. The works created in Mexico combine personal experience with social observation and negotiate power, visibility and representation. For her solo show at the OK, Andessner condenses these impressions into a multi-layered exhibition that links individual narratives with global issues.
