Traunsee half-marathon

This year, the participants of the Traunsee Half Marathon will once again "fight" against the sunset on June 20, 2026 and try to get the coveted sun finisher medals. As in previous years, the half marathon distance will remain unchanged: The participants of the Traunsee Half Marathon will start on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 19:08 in Ebensee.

After a 5 km loop in Ebensee, the route leads all runners through picturesque scenery via Traunkirchen and Altmünster to the finish in Gmunden. The unforgettable panorama and the run directly along the lakeshore make this 21-kilometer run a very special experience.
"Running for everyone": this is one of the messages of the Traunsee Half Marathon. To ensure there is something for every runner, the 2026 Traunsee Half Marathon offers the opportunity to complete two other distances in addition to the half marathon distance.
In addition to the starting shot for the Hervis Half Marathon, the starting shots for the Bridgestone Pleasure Run (11.5 km) and the Omni-Biotic Sun Run and OÖN Junior Run (4 km each) will also be fired on the "longest Saturday".

Regardless of the distance completed, the Motivation Mile offers all runners a unique finish: Numerous spectators and special acts will once again cheer on the participants on this year's Motivation Mile on the Esplanade and make the final meters an unforgettable experience. After the award ceremony, all "sun finishers" and "moon shiners" can enjoy the midsummer bonfire over Lake Traunsee and celebrate the day's sporting successes.
