The Long Night of Research (LNF) is unique. It is the largest event for science and research in the German-speaking world.
On 24 . April2026, the Long Night of Research will take place again.
The aim of the LNF is to present science and research in an innovative, understandable and entertaining way with free admission. The spectrum ranges from pre-scientific work in schools to cutting-edge research, from basic research to flagship projects in application-oriented research and successful innovations from companies. The Long Night of Research has become a fixed point for the open dialog between science and society. Since 2005, the biennial event with its growing program has attracted increasing interest from all sections of the population and age groups, making the LNF a contact exchange where young people can experience the latest developments and technologies in a fun way and get to know training facilities, areas of application and the jobs of the future.
