Atmospheric St. Nicholas festival for children in Bad Ischl
On December 5, the Ischl carnival association once again invites you to a particularly atmospheric and family-friendly St. Nicholas festival. Traditionally, St. Nicholas visits the children of the town together with his good Krampus and has a small package for each child.

From 5.00 pm, the Bad Ischl Weisenbläser will create a contemplative musical atmosphere on the festively decorated stage in Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Straße. Theresia Lechner reads Christmas stories and poems, while Stucka takes up questions about Krampus with a twinkle in her eye.

At around 6.00 p.m., St. Nicholas and his Krampus enter the St. Nicholas Church. After a short speech, he distributes lovingly prepared gifts to the children. "The Krampus is simply part of St. Nicholas in the Salzkammergut. However, nobody needs to be afraid with us - our Krampuses are friendly, approachable and have already taken away the fear of many children," explains Hannes Kienberger.

Afterwards, the IF invites you to a cozy finale with Advent music. Visitors can enjoy fragrant punch, mulled wine, hot tea and small regional delicacies at the food stalls.
